Construction project managers plan and direct the building and maintenance of everything from bridges to high-rises to wastewater systems. They usually have the satisfaction of seeing a job through from start to finish. In a typical day, project managers might meet with owners, examine a work breakdown structure (WBS), negotiate with sub-contractors, and directly supervise crews. Their qualifications include both formal education and in- formal on-the-job training, and their knowledge encompasses construction materials and methods, mathematics, communications, safety, human resources, scheduling, and customer service, among other areas.

The Callidus Group will provide content, facilitate discussions, in-class activities, and offer practical applications for each topic. In addition, handouts, case studies, guest speakers, and follow-up reading will be provided to support the learning process.  Sessions will focus on content discussions, group exercises, and application of learning to individual situations.

The Callidus Group facilitators are all trained and certified facilitators for the Kauffman Foundation of Kansas City and completed the NCCER Instructor Certification Training Program. Each facilitator has over 40 years of real-world experience in both large and smaller organizations, and all have performed supervisory, management and leadership roles in a variety of business environments. In addition, they have facilitated a variety of adult educational programs for major organizations in Western PA.
