At ABC Western PA's craft training facility, we train the next generation of craft professionals utilizing a combination of classroom and hands-on training. We are the “voice of construction” for today’s merit shop construction industry.

Our flexible, affordable craft and safety education leads to industry-recognized, national credentials for today’s leading construction positions. Together, we help individuals pursue meaningful careers that advance their potential and build strong communities.

Founded in 1991 by ABC and leading contractors, NCCER is the industry’s source for craft education, assessment and certification. Today, NCCER develops standardized curricula and industry-recognized, portable credentials for more than 70 crafts that have been used in all 50 states and in 20 countries.

What is Apprenticeship?

With an apprenticeship, you start with a job and build a career. Simply put, a contractor hires you, and then you enroll in the ABC Western PA's Apprenticeship Program. Over the next three to five years, you will learn everything you need — through in-class and on-the-job training — to strive in all aspects of your chosen trade.

Select a Trade:

From electrical and carpentry to bricklayer and roofer, or a host of others, you can find the trade that best fits your skills or interests. The ABC Western PA's Apprenticeship program operates 7 different trade programs.
