Construction Craft Laborer

As a construction craft laborer apprentice, you'll gain essential skills in performing a variety of tasks on construction sites, including material handling, site preparation, and basic construction techniques. You'll learn to operate and maintain different construction tools and equipment, follow safety protocols, and use personal protective equipment (PPE). The apprenticeship will also help you develop problem-solving abilities, project organization skills, and uphold high standards of professionalism and ethics.

NCCER HVACR Curriculum

The Construction Craft Laborer Apprenticeship program is a comprehensive 2-year course that combines practical experience with classroom learning. It requires 167 hours of Related Technical Instruction (RTI), each year, and 4,000 total hours of On-the-Job Learning (OJL). The RTI follows the National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER) curriculum, with apprentices earning industry-recognized, stackable credentials at each level. The program starts with CORE, an introductory module covering communication skills, employability, basic safety practices, and the use of construction tools, before advancing through Construction Craft Laborer Levels 1 and 2. Applications are due by July 1, 2025.
