American Red Cross Adult First Aid/CPR/AED

The American Red Cross Adult First Aid/CPR/AED – Part 1: is an online course incorporating the latest science and teaches participants to recognize and care for a variety of first aid emergencies such as burns cuts scrapes sudden illnesses head neck back injuries heat and cold emergencies and how to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies for victims about 12 years and older.

The American Red Cross Adult First Aid/CPR/AED – Part 2: is the hands-on, in-person portion of the training.  Participants will demonstrate the skills learned during the online program and be evaluated in CPR/First Aid/AED by the certified trainer for credentialling.

Successful participants will receive a certificate for Adult First Aid/CPR/AED valid for two years.


Instructor:
Matthew Waltman, Director of Education & Workforce Development, ABC Western PA, provides Adult CPR/First Aid/AED training for the Chapter’s members.  Matt is a Certified American Red Cross CPR/First Aid/AED instructor authorized to train students in responding to medical emergencies.  During his career, he has provided training and education to support staff in their work environments.
